Hunting at the Sportsman's Club

RIFLE RANGE/ TRAP RANGE

WILL

Be open daily 10 am to 2 pm. during hunting season!!!!!!

The range will be closed before 10 am. and closed after 2 pm.

So there are no practice guns going off and scaring away animals being hunted.

The only exception is on regular trap shoot days.

Hunting Instructions

1. Only those with valid permits may enter the hunt area. Non-hunters are excluded.

2. Hunters must obtain permits before hunting. (Contact Evan Steinbis at 517-428-4548)

3. Scouting: Before Sept 15 and during your Hunt Dates only.

4. Blinds: Portable Blinds only. Blinds must be removed at the end of your hunt. No cutting of trees or brush, shooting lanes, ect. No screw in tree steps or nails.

5. Baiting: Follow DNR Rules. Bait during your hunt dates only.

6. Register all game taken at the clubhouse or follow instructions posted in the pavilion if no one is at the clubhouse.

7. Group sizes: For Archery, we will select up to six hunters per hunt period using the Buddy System of one or two hunters per application. For Firearm and Muzzle Loader, we will be selecting up to four hunters per hunt period.

8. A Safety Zone will be enforced around the Gun ranges and Clubhouse.

9. Rifle Range and Trap Range will be open from 10:00 a.m until 2 p.m during hunting seasons.

10. Trespassing will be handled by DNR.

11. There will be no December Archery drawing.

12. Extended seasons will not be observed.

13. A map of the club property will be available upon request.
